We cordially invite you to the museum classes and lectures that will enrich and deepen students' knowledge of the history of Polish People's Republic.
"FUNDACJA MINIONEJ EPOKI" (FOUNDATION OF THE BYGONE ERA)
implements project known as Expansion and diversification of activities of the Muzeum Historii Polski Ludowej (Museum of Polish People's Republic) in Ruda Śląska
(Region 4 łódzkie (Łódź region), opolskie (Opole region), śląskie (Silesian)
The aim of the project is
to expand and diversify the activities of the Museum of Polish People's Republic by launching new areas of activities: a café for museum visitors and the possibility for external entities to organise events, conferences or training courses on the museum premises, including catering facilities.
The total value of the project is 646,987.61 zł.
The value of the grant awarded is 473,405.57 zł.
Time Capsule
The office of the First Secretary and the Chamber full of propaganda of the Polish People's Republic are the next stages of our journey through the Museum. A massive desk with three telephones, commemorative vases, works by Lenin, medals, decorations and a collection of banners, huge kilims on the walls together with the obligatory at that time palm tree.
Those who are much younger have the opportunity to see what life was like without mobile phones and computers, while looking inside of the drawers and cupboards which are full of everyday objects. There are items, such as an old kettle, a washing machine, cans after marago coffee, a stamp album or other ‘treasures’ hidden in the bar of the immortal wall unit which arouse the enthusiasm of visitors of all ages.

Gallery of Socialist Realism
Copies of several dozen outstanding paintings from the period of Socialist Realism (1949–1955).
Among them: Spring Walk by Kazimierz Śramkiewicz, Let’s Get to Know the Constitution by Eugenia Marcinkowska-Brykner, and Portrait of Lenin by Juliusz Krajewski.
